
Steph Lao is an attorney in our transactional department. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Northeastern University in Boston. Afterwards, she worked in Global Compensation and Benefits at Biogen, a global biotech company based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. After working in compensation and benefits, Steph pursued and earned her Juris Doctorate with honors from Emory University School of Law, as well as a certificate in Transactional Law and Skills. While attending Emory Law, Steph was an active member of the Moot Court Society, competing in national competitions for Sports Law and Cyber Security, was on the Dean’s List, served as Treasurer for the Latin American Law Students Association and was an active member of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association. She was also the Research Assistant to Professor Partlett, focusing on Torts, Remedies, and women’s rights research.
Prior to joining Spierer, Woodward, Corbalis & Goldberg, Steph worked for a law firm in Atlanta, Georgia where she handled several real estate, employment, and general business law matters. She practiced both business litigation and corporate transactional law. Steph also dedicated her free time working as a volunteer attorney for the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyer Foundation, focused on providing housing court assistance.
Steph is licensed to practice law in California, New York and Georgia.
In her free time, you could find her spending time with her dog, Harvey, at the park, hiking in the Pacific Palisades, or hanging out at Manhattan Beach.
