Jason Sampas is an attorney who practices in the firm’s California office in the transactional and estate planning departments focusing primarily on business law, estate planning, real estate, and tax. Jason’s accounting and tax background allows him to analyze a transactional inquiry from a variety of perspectives in order to help clients achieve their short-term and long-term goals.
Jason graduated from San Diego State University in 2007 with a B.S. in Accounting and in 2008 with a M.S. in Accounting with an emphasis in Taxation. His education led to his employment with a “Big 4” accounting firm, where his primary clients were real estate companies and high-net worth individuals. After a couple of years in the accounting industry, he went to law school to pursue his dream of becoming an attorney.
In 2014, he graduated cum laude from California Western School of Law with a concentration in Business. He then attended the University of San Diego School of Law, where he graduated cum laude with an LL.M. in Taxation. While completing his LL.M., Jason published his article “Puerto Rico: America’s Tax Haven or Vacation Paradise” in the Law and Business Review of the Americas. His rigorous tax background proved invaluable during his clerkship at the U.S. Tax Court.
Jason is admitted to practice in California and Florida and is authorized to appear in the U. S. Tax Court. He currently resides in Redondo Beach.
