Jake Hedgpeth is an attorney in the transactional department of our Colorado office with a focus on business and real estate law.

Jake received his Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado Law School in Boulder. While attending CU, he was an Editor on the University of Colorado Law Review, working with law professors and students to edit and publish works cited by legal professionals across the country. Additionally, his article, “The Bankruptcy of Purdue Pharma in the Wake of Big Tobacco,” was one of only seven student-authored articles published in Volume 94 of the Law Review. Prior to attending CU Law, Jake graduated from the University of Texas at Austin where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and a Minor in Business from the McCombs School of Business.

Before joining Spierer, Woodward, Corbalis & Goldberg, Jake built experience in a wide range of legal fields. He worked as an in-house legal clerk for Hach Company, a leading chemical manufacturer in Loveland, Colorado, with a focus on complex regulatory compliance. He externed for the Colorado Attorney General’s Office in the Revenue and Utilities Section and worked on cases for the Colorado Gaming Control Commission, Department of Revenue, and Division of Housing, among many others. He was also an active student member of the Colorado Intellectual Property Inn of Court, the American Intellectual Property Law Association, and the CU Health Law Society.

In his free time, Jake enjoys cycling around Denver and spending time with his German Shepherd, Freya. He also enjoys reading, writing, and watching movies of all kinds.
