Disneyland opened on July 17, 1955. Three days later a young girl smashed her miniature Autopia Car into a curb and her parents sued Disneyland. The Happiest Place on Earth has had lots of tumbles, attraction mishaps, ticket scams, attacks by security guards and costumed characters, disability disputes and employees who turned on their employer. Sometimes, Disneyland changed its operations openly, sometimes secretly, and sometimes Disneyland stood its ground. Steve interviews David Koenig, author of The People v.
